I’m afraid that the information you’ve provided on your application form is not currently sufficient for you to be approved for Membership. If you have not fully completed the form, please revisit and reapply.

If you are able to provide proof of an active Spotlight or Equity Membership (or International equivalent), completed at least a 3 year acting performance course at one of our approved drama schools or a CV containing at least 4 professional and verifiable acting credits, then we’d be happy to revisit your application.
However, there are also a few intensive courses that you are eligible to take as a non-member. Please take a look at our ‘Get into Acting’ and ‘Get into Screen Acting’ courses below:
‘Get into Acting’ is a course for anyone who is interested in becoming an actor. It acts as a taster of drama school training, a broad and basic introduction to the craft of acting and acting as a profession. Content includes key elements of actor training including voice, movement, character, scene and text work (classical and contemporary), improvisation and audition technique. ‘Get into Screen Acting’ is a course where will gain experience of the technical demands of acting on film, explore the differences between stage and screen acting and develop techniques that will help you produce powerful on-screen performances. You will learn valuable skills which will help you get your foot into the industry, especially if you’re interested in being an actor on stage, or on screen and want to work with companies such as Channel 4, BBC, ITV, or even on film! At the end of the ‘Get into Screen Acting’ course you will be forward all of your footage so you can start creating your own showreel.
The more of these courses you attend, the higher your chances are of matching our criteria to become a member here at The Actors Centre! These are quite popular courses which are highly beneficial in helping you gain those extra skills, so you can get your foot through the door to this industry. They are highly recommended, useful and fun!
